November’s UFC Fight Night 98 lineup has a new welterweight addition to the card.

UFC officials today announced a fight between Mexico’s Erick Montano (7-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Max Griffin (12-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) for UFC Fight Night 98 in Mexico City.

UFC Fight Night 98, which also serves as the live finale for “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3,” takes place Nov. 5 at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City. It airs on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized.

Montano, a Mexico City native, made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 78 in Monterrey, Mexico, this past November. There, he took a split decision from Enrique Marin to run his winning streak to three fights. But less than two weeks ago at UFC Fight Night 94 in Hidalgo, Texas, he was stunned just 18 seconds into the third round and was forced to tap to a Randy Brown guillotine choke.

Griffin will be looking to rebound, as well, after a third-round TKO loss to Colby Covington in his promotional debut at UFC 202 in August in Las Vegas. Prior to that, the Californian was on a run that saw him win eight of nine fights starting in 2013.

The latest UFC Fight Night 98 card now includes:

  • Rafael dos Anjos vs. Tony Ferguson
  • Beneil Dariush vs. Rashid Magomedov
  • Heather Jo Clark vs. Alexa Grasso
  • Marcin Held vs. Diego Sanchez
  • Felipe Arantes vs. Erik Perez
  • Marco Beltran vs. Guido Cannetti
  • Jorge Masvidal vs. TBA
  • Marco Polo Reyes vs. Jason Novelli
  • Max Griffin vs. Erick Montano
  • TBA vs. TBA – “TUF 3: Latin America” lightweight tournament final
